Privacy and Inbox Data

This page describes the current application’s data flow and practical privacy limits.

Mailbox creation and messages

The application creates a Mail.tm account with a generated address and password. Requests pass through the website backend to Mail.tm. Mail.tm processes mailbox data and incoming messages. Consult Mail.tm for its current provider policies.

Access in your browser

The active inbox session is held in page memory. Reloading or closing the page loses that access. This does not itself prove that Mail.tm has deleted the mailbox or messages.

Deleting an inbox

Selecting New address and confirming asks Mail.tm to delete the current account before creating a replacement. Provider failures can prevent the request from completing. The interface reports errors; provider-side retention is controlled by Mail.tm.

Other connections

The website is hosted through Sites and loads fonts from Google Fonts. Hosting and third-party services may process request information. This page does not promise anonymity, zero logging, or a specific provider retention period.

Use an appropriate mailbox

Do not use a temporary inbox for identity documents, financial information, or accounts you need to recover later. See disposable email privacy and alternatives to temporary email.
